Visit of Canadian start-ups
25 March 2019On March 19, a group of Canadian start-ups from Quebéc Province visited the Ludwig Bölkow Campus (LBC). The group has been accompanied by high level staff of LBC partner organisation “CRIAQ” based in Montreal and by Quebéc government officials. On the one hand, the Canadian start-ups had the opportunity to establish new business contacts with companies and research institutes in Bavaria and, on the other hand, LBC could expand its network in the Bavarian partner region Quebéc. During a pitching session, each start-up had the chance to present its activities to a professional audience. During a tour of the LBC in the afternoon, the start-ups personally met with staff from companies and research institutes based on campus. An evening cocktail reception hosted by the general delegate of Quebéc to Bavaria, Mrs. Marie-Eve Jean, completed this event.

Get-together at Airbus’ “CTO hub”
19 February 2019On February 18, the first get-together event in 2019 took place on Ludwig Bölkow Campus (LBC). This time the successful start-up company “Cloud Ararat”, which settled on LBC back in 2017, presented itself in the modern facilities of Airbus’ CTO hub. After Mert Altindag, founder and CEO, has presented in detail his young company, the numerous attendees were given the opportunity to ask additional and in-depth questions. The traditional lunch buffet concluded once more the event. The so called "get-togethers" take place approximately every 2 months with changing locations and serve the networking on Ludwig Bölkow Campus.

TU Munich department opens first office
05 February 2019On February 4, the Managing Director Dr. Michael Klimke and initial staff of the new department of aerospace and geodesy moved in their new offices at Ludwig Bölkow Campus (LBC). A new faculty building, comprising offices, laboratories, test facilities, a start-up center and student infrastructure, will be constructed in collaboration with several partners.

TUM Students visit Ludwig Bölkow Campus
21 November 201819 November 2018 - During a visit to Ludwig Bölkow Campus, 30 students of the TUM Department of Mechanical Engineering gained insight into the activities and research facilities on campus. After a short introduction, the students had the chance to get acquainted with the study programme „Aeronautical Engineering“ of the University of German Armed Forces during a two-hour tour. In particular, the flight simulators attracted great interest. Afterwards, the group continued the tour to visit the aeronautics and space test centres at IABG. The students showed great interest throughout the presentations and asked various questions.
